A small company, standing proudly among giants.
In healthcare, trust is non-negotiable. So every brand decision had to inspire confidence.

How does a small brand project the confidence of a healthcare giant—without looking like one?
Specialty pharmacies need rigorous clinical workflows and documentation, but the established solutions can come with the cost and complexity of large healthcare platforms. Specia was created as a more focused, affordable alternative.
The challenge was making sure lower cost never communicated lower confidence.
I helped build that confidence into the brand from the start, beginning with the name Specia, derived from 'specialty'—short, distinctive, and deliberately at home in the language of healthcare.
I designed the logo (a shield and checkmark identity around protection, compliance, and thoroughness) then carried that sense of reassurance into the color palette, tone, website, and presentation materials. The goal wasn't to make Specia look like a healthcare giant. It was to give a smaller company the signals of credibility its offering deserved.
The brand gave Specia the credibility to stand alongside established healthcare competitors—while remaining distinctly its own.
